This replaced the original cover of 1994 and captures the overall flavour of the book far better, I think. One trouble with the original (below) is that it gave the impression that mermaids are mainly what the book is about, which is not the case at all. They are the opening theme but over half is taken up with David's dreamlike visions and illustrations for children's stories, some of which he wrote.
