The video was made for UKTV Style's book programme. I rounded up the gnomes by making an appeal on a local BBC radio gardening show, and ended with about fifty which the producers and I arranged around a neighbour's picturesque garden. So neither the gnomes (apart from Sid) or the garden are mine, contrary to appearances. And the sentiments? Well, you'll just have to work that out for yourselves.
