Welcome to a library of books that I've been involved with one way or another. So far I've divided them into three broad groups: those on myth and legend that I've mostly written together with the artists, and mostly at the same time; those I've written about fantasy artists in which the bulk of each book is a collection of their work over many years, and for which I basically acted as a journalist; and a variety of others lumped together on the top shelf labelled 'Miscellaneous'. The desk you see is not the one I usually work at these days, as you may have guessed. That's in another corner of the study and has a keyboard and screen; but I do still often sketch out ideas and make notes with pen and paper away from the computer, because it creates a bit of mental distance.

A couple of objects on the desk are 'live' but I'm still working on how to open the drawers . . .
