The theme of goddesses from around the world is far too wide to cover in a single book, but it was wonderful to try, starting of course with some of our own particular favourites. For me that included Lilith and Brigid, with both of whom I've always been fascinated. The story of Amaterasu in Japan was a fresh delight to be able to dust off and present to a new audience.
For my piece on Brigid I was lucky enough to pay a visit to Kildare in Ireland where there are shrines to her still in both her pagan and Christian guises. The picture above is Linda's cover painting, painted with true mystery.
